Sock Republic was born from a simple observation: if we invest in the perfect shoes, the finest fabrics, and the details that shape our everyday comfort, why should the first thing we put on every morning be ordinary?

What started as a search for a perfect sock brand, became a mission to redefine an overlooked essential. That's why every pair at Sock Republic is designed with purpose, crafted with precision, and built to last.

2020-2021 AC

Then came 2020.

The world changed overnight. Streets fell silent, uncertainty filled the air, and online shopping shifted almost entirely toward essentials that could help people stay safe.

Like many businesses, Sock Republic faced a defining moment. Instead of standing still, we adapted.

We introduced medical-grade 5-layer bamboo face masks designed for comfort, breathability, and protection. But we wanted to offer something more than just a product. So with every face mask, we included a complimentary pair of our socks.

What happened next surprised us.

Customers came for the masks, but many fell in love with the socks.

As the world slowly reopened and life found its rhythm again, online shopping in India evolved from a convenience into a way of life. And while the demand for masks eventually faded, something remarkable remained.

More than 40% of those customers returned—not for face masks, but for socks. We thought if a free pair of socks introduced them to Sock Republic, we certainly don't mind that story.

2022 AC

Sock Republic recognized the growing demand for high-quality, custom-branded socks and quickly became the top choice for corporate clients and designer apparel brands for private label premium socks manufacturing.

The brand, backed by its own in-house manufacturing unit, built a dedicated team and officially launched corporate gifting services—offering premium, custom-branded socks tailored for corporate gifting, employee rewards, promotional merchandise, and event giveaways.

2024

Enquiries began pouring in from D2C brands that value superior quality and lower MOQs over mass-produced, low-cost cheap socks.

This led to the launch of a full-scale, end-to-end customization service—offering fully customized, premium socks tailored specifically for retail brands and emerging startups.

2025

By the end of 2025, Sock Republic had successfully partnered with 700+ brands and corporate entities, delivering over 500k pairs of premium designer socks, each customized to perfection.

Founded in 2018, Sock Republic emerged as the first Indian brand to offer luxurious “200-Needle” jacquard-knit socks. Featured by top Indian media houses like The Economic Times, Cosmopolitan India, Live Mint, Man’s World, Hello Magazine and more, Sock Republic has been recognized as one of the pioneers in redefining socks as a fashion statement in India. Known for our high-res cool prints, colorful patterns, and incredible designs, we are dedicated to providing the finest quality premium designer socks for men and women. Our commitment to excellence has established us as a leading sock brand (quite often termed the best by sock enthusiasts…) in India!

What began with a handful of unisex, free-size designs has grown into a full-blown sock revolution. By 2022, we were offering over 250 unique designs, including colorful crew socks, cool ankle socks, and trendy no-show socks for both men and women. By 2024, we’ve proudly served over 50,000 customers, selling 10 lakh+ pairs in retail while maintaining an impressive 25% repeat purchase rate! And not just that, we’ve redefined online sock shopping in India with stylish gift boxes and monthly sock subscriptions that keeps the fun rolling!
